It's Christmas Time!

So I love the Christmas season! Everything is green and it's starting to get chilly. I'm a winter baby! I can't stand the heat (so I stay out of the kitchen...sorry!) It's only 2 days after Thanksgiving and I've already finished 75% of my Christmas shopping. The only person I haven't gotten anything for is my mother. But I have an idea I'm working on. I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet and collarborate with my brother. Oh well...I've gotten all my gifts online, except for one! I'm so excited about that!! No braving the crowds...I hate crowds.

It's been a while.

So it's been a good while since I've posted anything. I've been pretty busy with School and Ellie...

This semester is almost done...and I don't know where it's gone...

This week is Thanksgiving and I'm looking forward to it. We're actually going to have a big dinner at home which we haven't had in a while. AND I don't have to worry about going to see Harry Potter Part 7 on Thanksgiving because I got to see it early...I was so excited. It was SOO good. I'm going to go see it again after I watch all the other movies. They didn't leave much, if anything, out of the movies from the book. They definitely couldn't make just one movie. It wouldn't have all fit!! It made me realize how much I love Harry Potter...

On another note, I'm trying to convince my boyfriend to create a blog. He has so much to say and makes all kinds of good points, mainly about sports. He might could become famous for his point of view on things. If only he created his own blog...

Blue Ridge Parkway

So I took a family vacation this past weekend. I went to the Blue Ridge Mountains with Ellie and my parents. It was kinda shaky at first but it ended up okay. We saw lots of pretty mountains and trees and stuff. On the way there we saw Cotton Fields, Pumpkin Patches, Tobacco Fields and other fun stuff. Here are some pictures...

So VERY thankful

I was reminded today how good I have it. I have a roof over my head, food when I'm hungry, parents who love me and a good education to support me in the future. It's so easy to get caught up in our lives that we forget how lucky we are. I'm not an extremely religious person,  but we need to remember to thank God everyday for what we have and pray for those who are struggling. I'm going to do my best to not get caught up in my own minor issues and remember that there are those out there who have it worse. I won't be forgetting anytime soon how good I have it.

I also decided I needed to thank my parents more often. If it were not for them, who knows where I'd be. They've supported me for going on 24 years and I love them so much for making me who I am today.

So...

Last night was the Old Dominion University football game against the William & Mary Tribe. The boys put up a great game and deserved to win. They lost by just a few points and would have won if the referees did their job. But... I did end up buying my Ellie an ODU jersey...she looked so cute in it...I'll post pics later!

Oh well...The Redskins play today! I'm hoping for a win against the Texans...won't be extremely disappointed if they lose though...Houston's a tough team.

On another note...tomorrow is my first day of therapy with my little girl. I love her. She's so adorable. I'm looking forward to having fun this semester.

Scrubs.

I don't think I've discovered anything (semi) recently as great a wearing scrubs. I have to wear them for grad school clinic (that or dress up which is no fun). They are super duper comfy and it feels like wear pajamas. They are seriously like the most comfortable thing you can wear in public. (excluding those people who think its okay to go out in pajamas to walmart.)

Game Day!!

His name is Earl.

So. Earl's coming at us. Well...right now he is. All the news stations are saying "he's gonna turn East." Well, that hasn't happened yet. So we shall see. If he does turn East, we'll just get wind and rain. However, if he doesn't...Hello Hurricane! I'm kinda indifferent about the whole thing. I mean, I don't want death and destruction but...all this hype makes me want to see SOMEthing! My Ellie is ready for a hurricane. She's already under my desk/chair...

The good news is...I don't have class until next Wednesday. So I don't have to worry about making anything up or driving out in wind/rain, etc.

Ok. Time to go watch my favorite show, GILMORE GIRLS , and wait for the 11 am update on Earl.

I miss the days when my puppy was an "only child." She was a handful but she was my silly puppy. Lately, she's been indifferent to me or my parents. The only thing she can really focus on is my brother's pitbull-lab puppy. She's sweet but huge. 22 lbs! Compared to Ellie's 8 lbs. They just go at each other the entire time they are together and it's slightly frustrating when they like to bite.

However, once they are separated, they both pass out. They are so tired!!

This was Ellie for her morning nap. She came to lay with me while watching Gilmore Girls.

This was Ellie tonight after Melody (her doggie cousin) was put upstairs in my brother's bedroom. She was so sleepy she crashed with her froggy toy. It was quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen!

Anyway, I like Melody. It's just annoying when you have 2 puppies in the house and you have to keep yelling at them...

I just have to make it for another week and I'll have my goofy puppy back.

School's in Forever!

So I've decided that I was born to go to school.

I've only had 3 weeks of summer vacation and I'm bored. Now, sure, school does start on Monday but that still leaves 3 days of boredom.

I seriously believe I'll be in school forever. I've been in school forever and cannot picture myself anywhere else. Even in my career I see myself working in a school system. Probably an elementary school because I'm like a 7 year-old. I LOVE school supplies. Every august/September, I find myself buying pens, pencils, binders, crayons, markers, etc. I love it.

Anyway, I hadn't posted in a while so now that you know I've been bored...it'll be a while before I post again I'm sure...like I said, school starts Monday! =)

The End. (Almost)

So I'm done with my summer classes.

Almost.

I'm done with studying and taking notes and having to be on campus until 8:00.

I still have 2 1/2 weeks of clinic left, which I think will be okay. I don't really have to be on campus THAT much since plans are done ahead of time.

I get to write plans and do therapy for my junior client (I'll have her next semester) so that should be interesting.

So. I'm FINALLY finished with that awful professor. We had our final today...

My Baby's a Graduate!

hehe. Ellie graduated from Petsmart last night.

She started out kind crazy but in the end she's edumacated.

She's so happy she's graduated!

Her mommy loves her so much she got 2 new toys!!
